D- Ditch and De-clutter
Most of the times we over-think and over-analyze things so much that it affects our mental health. There are so many unwanted things in our life that we give so much importance to and also so many people in our lives we give importance to that it only ruins our peace.
“You can’t reach for anything new if your hands are still full of yesterdays junk” – Louise Smith
I have seen people knowing that the group of people they hang out with are just using them for some purpose and are unhealthy to be with still they turn blind and still choose to hang out with the same set of people. Like, either such people are real fools or maybe they really don’t have self-respect. Because to be honest even after looking through that such people are actually harmful to them they still choose such people as their closed ones;
I rather be alone and enjoy my own company, work hard, spend money on my own-self and actually go out and interact with people who bring good in me than spend the precious time of my life with people who are fake and venomous and will go to any level to harm you someday. I can’t even stand such people hanging out with them is something out of my understanding.
But to be honest, in the long run, such toxic people turn out to be someone who could be a threat to you because you choosed to spend so much time with them and now they are aware
“Get rid of clutter and you may just find that it was blocking the door your’ve been looking for” – Katrina Mayer
So why stay with them at first place? Why keep such people and things in life which can prove to be a threat to you, in the long run, compromising on your self-respect and then regret about it someday? It’s of no use to be sorry later when even after knowing the fact you have choosen to turn blind.
I believe when life and people knock you down, it is time to turn off for some time and cut yourself out from everyone and everything. Try to analyze the things that went wrong, why it went wrong, what was my fault, learn from those mistakes, apologize if you hurted someone, try to mend relations with people you know are good and healthy for you. When you have realized what is it that went wrong, who is your actual true loved ones and friends and who is not; that is when you start to de-clutter your mind and life from toxic people and
Why over analyze everything? Just work on your self, on your goals. When you know, and are aware some people in your life are toxic why be with them? Why give them another chance to let you down and later blame them? When a loved one hurts you, that is different because you know they have been with you in the past in your worse phase, they have tried to bring good in you, they have stood by you in times of need, they are trying to bring you on a the right path. But when someone hurts you and takes your peace away, fill your brain with toxic against someone, try to harm your reputation and have disrespected you then why be with such people? Why give them another chance?
The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak.
– Hans Hoffmann
To be honest, I believe living alone is far much better than filling your life with toxic people. It is not easy to live alone, to not have someone to talk to, to share your heart out, vent your feelings. But then at least by knowing there is no one who has the authority to insult you, to bring you down, to play with your mind and peace. That’s far much better than having fake people around you.
Ditch things and people that don’t serve you anything good or have already harmed you in someway, DE-clutter your life from such people and things and make a promise to yourself you won’t let anyone play with your mind and life and respect again. It will serve you in the long run, if not now. It will be difficult at first but slowly you will understand this is far much better than having people who can turn into demons any time and be a threat to you, use you, disrespect you and play with your mind and peace.
