Find Happiness Within YOU!

Happiness can be found, even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.” – J.K Rowling wrote these words in my all time favorite book, “Harry Potter Series.” It is true!

Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, only if we remember to turn on the light, but where is this light? This light is within you! This happiness is within you. We all have become so depended in life that for everything we need some, we need someone to make us feel special, to compliment us, to make us feel good, to celebrate our victories and special days. We try to find happiness in materialistic things, I got a new phone, it’s happiness, but is it iPhone? NO! there the happiness goes away. I have passed my examination…But did you scored well? what is the percentage? what are the grades? there the happiness is gone. I got my salary, but is it worth it? will it be able to buy that car, bike, that dress you eyeing on? No? then what uses is your salary of?

She has so many friends, her best friend makes her feel so special, her husband helps her in the kitchen, her boyfriend is caring, she does not lavishly spend her boyfriend’s money, whereas my girlfriend only wants money, his girlfriend is so beautiful, he got a new car, he has that latest iPhone, she got a diamond ring and the list never ends…

“Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself – no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are – completely; the good and the bad – and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”

We all try to compare our lives with others and make us feel small, make our happiness dissappear in a flick of a second by just comparing our lives with others. We feel we have all the problems burdened only on us and the rest of the world is enjoying…

That’s not what the truth is. Truth is we all are suffering from many problems, every and each person on this earth is suffering from some pain, tackling some stress, going through some issues.

We have become so depended on people and materialistic things that we have based our happiness on everything, but us. We try to find happiness in everything, and everyone, and everywhere but we will always forget to search that place where it’s actually hiding. You! it’s hiding within you.

All we have to do is, stop believing in the fact that there is someone out there who will bring all the happiness to us, who will help us get through this stressfull life, someone will come and make us feel special…That someone does not exist because if you can’t keep yourself happy if you don’t learn to love yourself, then no one else will.

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about.”
Dale Carnegie

Everyone will try to bring you down, if you be weak and show everyone that you are in need of someone, you will find that people will take advantage of this thing, they know you are a lonely person and desperate to have friends, relationships, or even your closed ones will take you for granted and will know where to exactly stab you. They know your weakness, and even if they don’t deliberately do it, but what’s the point of making someone else your reason to live, the reason to smile, the reason to be happy when you, yourself means nothing to them? Are you not important for your ownself?

Stop! stop being so weak. Try to be your own hero. Stop depending on people to make you happy. Start knowing your own self, start to enjoy your own company, when you can beat loneliness alone without anyone’s help or support you become the strongest person ever, because then you got nothing to lose. You have you and that’s all matters. You can be happy with your own self, you will know how to tackle things, you will make peace with your own self that yes, I am special, I can do this, I can be happy and I don’t need anyone to make me feel happy. This also will boost your confidence and you will go miles in life.

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us.”
Helen Keller

I’ve found happiness, in the writer in me. Happiness lies within me, I have me and that’s all that matters.
