L- Lean towards buying Experiences and not Things

We all have become materialistic. Everything we do, want and think of is all somehow related to materialistic purpose. This is why we all are living an unhappy life because we are living to achieve things rather than trying to achieve experiences and memories.

The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.

-Billy Graham

I wish to be a traveller for two reasons, one is to explore other places, culture, the life of people living in that particular area and to have different experiences to talk about. I want to be passionate about knowing people’s stories, the stories of the places and the stories that it’s been hiding and the other reason is to see this beautiful world and write about it. For that again I need finance, for which I need money, for which I will have to run behind making money first, which itself is exhausting.

We all are so busy in trying to link our happiness to the materialistic thing which will only last for a short time whereas experience and memories last for a long time. It helps you stay motivated and helps you to stay happy and calm from within.

I always have this problem of over thinking and not living in the moment. I am always stressed about what will happen ‘if and next’. I am trying to overcome this problem but I regret a lot of times for not living in the moment and missing the experience.

I only intend to say is that learn to buy experiences from every walks of life be it good, bad or worse. Every experience of life counts, it gives you wisdom which helps us to grow as a human and share our own experiences with someone. It helps us to be understanding and be sensitive to others.

So try to be someone who wants to have long lasting happiness from within and not from any particular thing. The more you run behind the thing, the more you will stay unhappy because the once you achieve a thing that makes you happy, it will keep you happy only for a short period of time and then there will be something else that will interest you and then you will feel unhappy until and unless you don’t achieve that thing.

I’m not so in love with material things that I’ll do anything for money. That allows me the luxury of doing things of value.

I love the book, ‘Eat, Pray, Love .’ because it talks about experiences and also to connect with your inner self. It talks about life, and so much more. I am planning to read it again this year. I had read it last year. It’s an amazing book and you should read it if you wish to be a traveller, writer or wish to know about life and experiences. It gives you a lot of insights about life.

I really like the way you express your words & feelings in your articles.

Your articles are awesome no doubt. I think you should add some images on that and designing part.

I am really glad you liked my blog post. It means a lot. The thing is I launched my own blogging website just 2 3 days before A to z blogchatter challenge started and I had really less time to plan content. So the designing is lacking behind. But will surely work on it in future. Thank You for stopping by.
