Blogging journey in my words- By Novemberschild
Hi there. I hope you all are safe and indoors. Let’s keep ourselves and others safe. It’s a tough time but we are all in this together…
I am thankful to Novemberschild for writing this guest post about her blogging journey which will also give us inspiration as bloggers… I hope you find this fruitful.
I had hosted an interview with Novemberschild back in 2018 and you can read the same here
My blogging journey in my words.- Novemberschild
I started writing at the age of 13 when most of the people of my age during the 90’s had other boring interests in life. I began blogging in 2004 at the age of 21, anonymously with couple of experimenting pen names, till I zeroed in Novemberschild.
June 4, 2020 will mark my 16th year into blogging. Writing this post to think about what an incredible journey it has has been; the highs and lows of sharing my story online, the friendships that have been made and the impact on my personal life.

Being true via words allows my readers to get to know the person behind the screen. One reason I’ve opened up on the blog is because I’ve needed it. I’ve needed to let my feelings out.
Blogging has helped me to come out of my shell. I’ve grown in confidence. It’s opened doors. I’ve met some incredible people. I’ve learned how to communicate with others. I’ve worked with some incredible brands.
One day the blogging world could be celebrating success and the next it’s bitching. We need to embrace it. Some people will like your content, some won’t. Some people will follow you for a month, some will follow-unfollow you.
Blogging should be unique for us. I’ve never been a stereotypical blogger. I don’t have a niche. I don’t attend events. I’ve work with brands directly. I haven’t followed the crowd. I love being different.
When I discovered the blogging community, strangers were liking my content. People were asking about my life. I was making friendships with people who had similar interests. The blogging community accepted me for me.

The more I write, the more you all get to know me. My favourite part of blogging is writing about who I am, how I feel and my thoughts. My blog was set up originally to help others, but in the end, it’s helped me discover who I am too. That’s why I love blogging.
Blogging can given you so much confidence in many ways. A blog is the showcase of ideas. Seeing it being appreciated by others is really a proud feeling. Moreover, it leads to a great boost in self-esteem.
I’m never bored with blogging because each post allows me to be creative. There’s a certain level of busy work that inevitably comes with any job but for the most part, every day is a little different from the last.
Once you start writing about topics which you love and also about your life, you’ll begin thinking more intentionally about who you are, who you are becoming, and whether you like what you see or not. And that just may be reason enough to get started.
I love to recommend something I have found enjoyable, blogging provides an opportunity to do that very thin – share the joy I have experienced and recommend good things I have discovered to others.
A blog is a great place for your original thoughts, and it can be a wonderful way to show off your individuality. If people like your ideas, you can become a thought leader in your niche – if you have one or else being famous is a wonderful feeling. I am so thankful to have entered the world of blogging, not only for my personal interests, but also because it has helped me in my career as well. If you are not blogging for a source of income, it can be a very satisfying and good thing to improve writing skills. Give it a try! You will not regret, because one you get addicted to blogging you will surely wonder why you did not start earlier.
