J- Join a Book Club (A to Z Blogging Challenge.)

I am late today because yesterday I got confused and thought it’s Saturday so I was lazying around and late at night I realized it was Friday and I had to write my blog post and not chill… So after I got rid of all the work, I am now writing this post and will have to publish it immediately.

Such absurd, silliness is something you can expect from me.

The one thing I am missing a lot is my Masters in English Literature lectures, especially where we used to discuss authors, books, stories, topics, and themes related to the books we used to study/read.

So I wish to continue to have the same all my life. I wish to join a book club which does not consist, people, more than 5 to 6 or maybe 10 is also enough and then read books with similar interests, meet during the weekends and discuss them.

This way reading will be on track, I will be introduced to read new genres and new titles will be introduced to new authors. I will get to know new perspectives, like every person who reads a book, has a different perspective to look at it.

I don’t like the idea of joining an online group because of the whole idea about having to come together, meet and discuss, meet some like-minded people and lose yourself in the world of stories, with maybe coffee and some cookies or pastries…

I really wish somehow I end up joining a book-club, at least that would make me feel a little good. Also, I really wish to read more, explore more of literature and stories. I am too distracted for now, with all the web-series and stuff. I really wish to go back to the reading world now.

I am missing to visit a book store. I think once we fight and win this Corona Virus, the first place I’d like to go is to visit a book store and I have some books that I need to buy. I love paperbacks and I hate the idea of reading from kindle or phone.

So I am eagerly waiting for the lockdown to end even though Maharashtra lockdown is now extended to 30th April now and it was expected as the cases of people infected with Corona Virus around Maharashtra are increasing day by day which is scary.

Currently, I am reading Harry Potter and The Order of Phoenix book, which one are you reading?
