K- Kite Flying (A to Z Blogging Challenge)

When I was a kid I used to just stand and observe my brother and kids of the locality around flying kites. But have never tried it myself.

My brother used to always make me stand with that ring of thread, but never let me try to fly a kite myself and so I never learned it.

The idea of learning to fly a kite is not that serious but since I can’t touch the beautiful sky as those birds do, fly high-high up in the sky I wish to somehow touch the sky through the kite.

I do miss those childhood days when flying kites was so amazing and that kite flying challenges the boys used to take it used to be fun.

But the manja (thread) that we used to use, then we never used to realize how harmful it is for birds. I hope they have found a better alternative and use a better quality of manja which does not cause the issue to birds. I am not in touch with the idea of kite flying at the moment because these days we hardly see anyone indulging themselves in kite flying things.

These days, we are more into technology, but I hope this lockdown has given us a lesson and when things will get solved, we will be grateful of the nature around us and not take it for granted.

I hope and looking forward to the day when I will write all my wishes on a kite and I myself will manage to fly it up in the sky and let it go higher and higher so all my wishes reach the sky.

I also love sky lanterns hot air balloons. They look so beautiful when they are lit and let out in the dark sky…

K is for Knowledge.

I also wish to increase my knowledge especially when it comes to travel, writing, and literature. I wish to know more about all the topics that interest me.

One must always be curious to know more about the world, surrounding, other cultures and respect and accept other people’s ideas of beliefs and the kind of lifestyle they wish to live with.

I wish to explore and explore and explore.

It’s good to be curious to know something that will increase our knowledge than curious about other’s life and gossips. That is something I try to refrain from.

So I have decided to explore more genres and more books when it comes to reading and I am going to work on this one very hard… I have mostly fantasy or fiction books ( I am a complete fantasy/fiction person) but I have realized I need to also read more of informative/ non-fiction books even though I am a very slow reader when it comes to non-fiction books.

So yeah! these are my wishes when it comes to letter K, kite flying and increasing my knowledge. Life is too short to wait for that one day or someday…

I hope if you are reading this, we all get the courage to go the other way round and fulfill all our wishes than just wait and wait and wait and then one day we will only sit and will be heavy with full of regrets…
